Tatiana Kourochkina is pleased to present Points of View , the second solo exhibition dedicated to Russian artist Vitaly Pushnitsky.

The exhibition presents the series entitled Occam's Razor, Time Machine and Points of View , and is completed by two large-format ink drawings on paper, Son and Exit 7.

Occam's Razor reveals his interest in space, geometry and light, creating miniature sculptures by attacking postcards of famous works from the history of art with a penknife, thereby playing with the two and three dimensions of painting.

Art history is a constant in Pushnitsky's work. Thus, in Points of View —the series that provides the show with its title— he revisits the round format that evokes those of Renaissance compositions. By means of the network of threads he presents on his pictorial surfaces, Pushnitsky indicates the point of view, the positioning of the gaze.

Finally, Pushnitsky also refers to time in his series Time Machine that consists of fifteen lithographs in which a group of clocks are printed on an old book by Aristotle.
